Donor Coaches

The Mississippi Blood Services' Donor Coaches support community outreach activities through daily blood drives statewide. The MBS professional staff has the opportunity to work with more than 40,000 individuals annually through these mobile blood drives. These community drives account for more than 65 percent of blood collected in 59 counties.

MBS has eight mobile coaches currently in operation. These coaches travel thousands of miles annually, even though they are more than ten years old. MBS needs to purchase a new coach for the Jackson Main Center in 2012! Please support the MBS's "Build a Coach Campaign." The total cost of a new coach is $250,000. Working together as a team of community leaders, we can build the fund $50 at a time.

MBS is asking you to make a one-time donation of $50 and/or make a pledge to support this effort. We have noconducted a grass roots campaign in ten years, and we are excited to work with our supporters to make this happen. Your sponsorship will be publicized in our quarterly newsletter.

With the help of caring individuals, like you, countless lives have been saved in Mississipppi. More than 120,000 blood products were transfused in 2011. Support will ensure that MBS continues the tradition of excellence and service to all Mississippians.
