Flowood, MS — May 12, 2025 — As Memorial Day approaches, Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is calling on donors to kick off the summer by giving the ultimate gift—the gift of life. From Monday, May 12 through Friday, May 22, all blood donors who visit any MBS donation center or mobile blood drive will be automatically entered into a drawing to win one of three 55” flat screen TVs.
Blood shelves are critically low, with types O-negative, O-positive, A-negative, and B-negative currently in severe shortage. Hospitals rely on these donations daily, and lives are at risk when the supply runs short. This special Memorial Day Giveaway is part of MBS’s effort to raise awareness about the critical need for blood donations during the summer season—a time when donations typically decline while demand continues to rise.
“This time of year is crucial for maintaining our blood supply,” said Kasey Dickson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at MBS. “We want to thank our incredible donors by giving them a chance to win a great prize while making a lifesaving impact.”

• Donate blood at any MBS location or mobile drive between Monday, May 12 and Friday, May 22, 2025
• You’ll be automatically entered to win one of three 55” flat screen TVs
• Winners will be randomly selected and contacted on Friday, May 23, 2025
This giveaway is open to all eligible blood donors who participate during the campaign period. No purchase is necessary to enter.
