Mississippi Blood Services is urgently asking eligible donors to give blood this weekend as blood inventory levels continue to decline across Mississippi during the national summer donation slowdown. Donors with A-negative, A-positive, O-negative, O-positive, B-negative, and B-positive blood types are especially needed to help support hospital patients statewide. Whole blood and double red cell donations are urgently needed, and all whole blood donors this weekend will receive a $20 Visa gift card as a thank-you for donating.
