Whole Blood Donation
Donating blood is safe and easy to do! When you donate whole blood, one pint is taken during donation. This is the traditional way of donating and draws a pint of blood containing red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma at one time.
When you donate whole blood you can help save up to three lives! Red blood cells are often used to help surgery patients, trauma victims and premature babies.
Donors must weigh 110 pounds, be in good health, be at least 16 years old with parental consent, 17 years old without parental consent.
You can donate whole blood every 56 days.
