Regions Bank College
Scholarship Blood Bowl
Donate blood. Support your university. Save Mississippi lives.
OCTOBER & NOVEMBER
Supporting students.
Saving lives.
Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) and Regions Bank are excited to announce the return of the annual Regions Bank College Scholarship Blood Bowl, a spirited competition among six Mississippi universities that encourages blood donation while providing scholarship opportunities for college students.
Participating universities host blood drives on and off campus and rally their students, faculty, alumni, and surrounding communities to donate. Each blood donation credited to a participating university helps increase its total in the competition.
Scholarship opportunities
The competition gives donating students the opportunity to receive a college scholarship.
- $1,000 scholarship: Awarded to a donating student at the university with the highest number of blood donations in each bracket.
- $500 scholarships: Awarded to a donating student at each of the other participating universities in each bracket.
More than just students
Faculty, staff, alumni, family members, fans, and community supporters are encouraged to donate and credit their donation to the university of their choice.
Every donation makes an impact
The winning university in each bracket earns bragging rights and a Winner’s Trophy. Every donation also helps ensure lifesaving blood is available for patients in Mississippi hospitals.
