Mississippi Blood Services Reports Declining Blood Inventory; Donors Needed This Saturday

Mississippi Blood Services is urgently asking eligible donors across the state to give blood this Saturday as blood inventory levels continue to decline. Hospitals throughout Mississippi rely on local blood donations every day to support trauma patients, cancer treatments, surgeries, and other critical medical needs.

Donors with O-negative, O-positive, B-negative, and B-positive blood types are especially needed at this time. Both whole blood and double red cell donations are urgently needed to help replenish the blood supply and ensure hospitals have the blood products they need for patients statewide.

As a thank-you for stepping up to help save lives, all whole blood donors who donate this Saturday will receive a $20 Visa gift card.
