Flowood, Cleveland, Oxford, MS – November 24, 2025 – Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is urging Mississippians to give the gift of life this Thanksgiving week. Blood donations often decline during the holidays, but hospitals still rely on a steady supply. To encourage donors, MBS is offering a $20 Visa gift card to everyone who donates this week at the Flowood, Cleveland, and Oxford Donation Centers.
“The holiday season is a time for giving, but it’s also when blood donations typically decline,” said Kasey Dickson, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Mississippi Blood Services. “Patients still need lifesaving blood for surgeries, emergencies, and chronic illnesses every day. We encourage everyone to take a moment this week to give the gift of life — it’s one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference in our community.”
