Mississippi Blood Services is making an urgent appeal for blood and platelet donors as inventory remains at dangerously low levels. Your donation can help replenish the blood supply for local hospitals and patients across Mississippi.
MBS needs approximately 250 blood donations and 60 platelet donations each day to meet patient needs. A+, A-, B+, B-, O+, and O- blood types are especially needed, along with eligible platelet donors.
To provide additional opportunities to give, MBS is offering special donor center hours October 16–19 in Flowood and Oxford.
Flowood Donor Center

Oxford Donor Center

Donor Incentives
- Eligible Double Red Cell Donors: Receive a $50 Visa gift card. Eligible blood types: A+, A-, B+, B-, O+, and O-.
- Whole Blood Donors: Receive a $20 Visa gift card.
- Platelet Donors: Receive a $50 Visa gift card.
