Mississippi Blood Services Partners with Kendra Scott to Support RESCUE Program

About the RESCUE Program

The RESCUE Program is an innovative collaboration between Mississippi Blood Services, Paladin Emergency Service Consulting, Magnolia Ambulance, local emergency responders, and community partners. Launched in September 2024, the program equips ambulances in rural communities—where access to trauma care is limited and rates of traumatic injuries are high—with lifesaving prehospital blood products.

In just over a year, the program has made a dramatic impact across the state and has received statewide recognition for its lifesaving treatments. Since its launch, the RESCUE Program has served rural counties including Attala, Leake, Noxubee, Scott, Sharkey/Issaquena, and Winston, utilizing 40 units of blood in emergency transfusions.
