MS Blood Services Partners with Kendra Scott for RESCUE Program Contribution Week During EMS Week

Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is partnering with nationally recognized jewelry retailer for a RESCUE Program Contribution Week, May 17–23, aligning with National EMS Week to support the Rural Emergency Services Care, Blood Utilization and Survival (RESCUE) Program.

The RESCUE Program is a collaboration between, and local emergency responders to deliver lifesaving blood products directly to patients in rural Mississippi communities where access to trauma care is limited.

Since launching in September 2024, the program has served counties including Attala, Leake, Noxubee, Scott, Sharkey/Issaquena, and Winston — expanding access to emergency blood delivery across rural communities throughout the state.

This giveback event supports the continued growth and sustainability of the RESCUE Program. As part of the initiative, Kendra Scott will donate 20% of all sales made May 17–23 both online and in-store at the Highland Village location.

MBS and Magnolia Ambulance will also host a pop-up event at the Highland Village Kendra Scott location from 2–4 p.m., where community members can shop, learn more about the RESCUE Program, and meet representatives involved in the initiative.

This activation also aligns with National EMS Week (May 17–23), recognizing the critical role first responders play in delivering lifesaving care. In support of EMS Week, MBS will host a special blood donation promotion May 17–22. Donors at the Flowood, Cleveland, and Oxford donor centers will receive a limited-edition EMS Week T-shirt while supplies last.

“EMS Week is a powerful reminder that lifesaving care often begins long before a patient reaches the hospital,” said. “Through the RESCUE Program, we’re putting blood directly into the hands of first responders—giving them the tools they need to act immediately in critical situations. Partnerships like Kendra Scott and the support from our communities are essential to sustaining and expanding this work, especially in rural areas where every second truly matters.”
